In his final moment, Imajin said that all he wanted is his own destruction, however Arus killed Imajin anyway, and Imajin's body sprouted into a new Yggdrasil. During the battle, the Magical Moons were destroyed one by one, thus Imajin was no longer able to regenerate and Arus finally defeated Imajin once and for all. However, Imajin possesed Alan and broke the Black Orb, reverting back to his orignial form and started the final battle. However, Imajin's giant form was soon sealed away by a redeemed Jagan/Alan. As Imajin wished to recreate the universe according to his own image. Imajin then rampaged on the Earth, destroying at least two cities by incinerating one of them and freezing another one of them, Imajin gathered the soul of those that died in his rampage and used the souls to make the Magical Moon. At this point, Imajin's goal was also revealed: To use the Magical Moons to destroy the universe with the Yggdrasil. Soon, Jagan accidentally broke the seal of Imajin's body, Imaijin then devoured Dragonlord's minions and nearly Dragonlord and Jagan themselves, growing into a gaint monstrous form. Soon, Gnon and later Gorgona were killed, and Imajin rejected Dragonlord's request of mourning for Gorgona's death. Gnon, one of Imajin's minion pointed out that if Leviathan wasn't killed by Arus, they might be devoured by Leviathan as well. One of it as to have Dragonlord and Gorgona to unleash Leviathan, the former sea king who had his counsious destroyed as Imajin put the parasite Dafola in his body and is now a mindless beast that would devour everything, and eventually, possibly the entire world. Soon, Arus was tracked down, and Imajin made countless attempt to kill him. Soon, they built a new force, in order to achieve this, Imajin manipulated Dragonlord into joining him and had his minions to gave Alan, another descendant of Roto the cursed name Jagan, thus transforming him into one of his force as well.

Gorgona offered Imajin an undying body, while accepting Imajin's offer of ruling the world with him.and with that, Gorgona has brought a global threat to the world. Imajin is a deity from other dimensions summoned by Gorgona, the head scientist of continent Mu. On that faithful day, his home town was attacked. In the manga, the world is once again under attack by monsters, and the monsters were lead by none other than Imajin, who wanted to hunt down the descendant of the legendary hero Roto/Edrick, who is none other than Arus. Dragon Quest Emblem of Roto set place between the events of Dragon Quest III and the first Dragon Quest game.
